Showers and thunderstorms return today as a cold front slides through New England. Some of those storms may be strong to severe across parts of New Hampshire, with strong winds being the primary hazard. Canadian wildfire smoke also returns today, and air quality and visibility may be reduced this afternoon. A very long period swell will also continue to arrive at local beaches today. A high risk for rip currents will be possible into the evening. Then seasonable summertime conditions are expected into next week, with another chance for widespread showers and storms Tuesday and Wednesday. |
