South to southwest winds will remain gusty through this evening. Some locations may even see a gust up to 40 mph at times with winds diminishing tonight. An approaching cold front will bring chances for thunderstorms through this evening, and a few of these may be strong to severe. The primary hazard with any severe storms will be damaging winds. That front crosses the area Wednesday through Thursday and will bring a widespread beneficial rainfall to the area. Then the weather returns to cooler and showery Friday through the weekend.
