A cold front will approach from the west today, crossing tonight. The front will initiate rounds of showers and storms across northern New Hampshire and western Maine this afternoon, with rain becoming more widespread this evening and overnight. Isolated to scattered severe storms are possible this afternoon, with damaging winds and hail being the biggest threats. Repeat rainfall poses a flash flood risk through tonight, especially for areas that saw heavy rainfall last week. Astronomical high tides will bring a minor flood risk along the coast this evening. Rain exits Monday morning, with cooler temperatures to start the week. |
