A large area of active weather consisting of showers and strong thunderstorms will take shape in east-central Texas today. A few weakening showers/storms may squeak into the Sam Rayburn / Toledo Bend region later today and tonight. Rain chances for everyone else (Louisiana at large) will be blocked by high pressure in the northeast Gulf. Everyone else will remain dry and warm. Could see similar forecast tomorrow, Monday, as another round sparks off in east-central Texas.
